Hume Region Scouts

We need your help!

To support Regions, Districts, Groups and Crews with recruiting and retaining more Adults in Scouting, we are preparing a Leader Build Resource Pack that includes a presentation USB, posters, brochures, a manual and feedback forms to send out to Groups, Districts and Crews through your Region Office.

We are calling out for volunteers to help us prepare the Resource Packs next Friday (26 April) at the State Office at Sydney Olympic Park. If you can give a half day shift – 9:30am to 12pm or 1pm to 4pm – or even a two hour shift during those times, that would be awesome!

If you can lend a helping hand visit buff.ly/2IDm0Pi to register. See MoreSee Less

Hume Region Scouts

Big Thanks to Anne Stanley, Federal MP for Werriwa, who presented a giant cheque to Hume Region representatives from 1st Glenfield Scouts. The funds are from a Volunteer’s GrantWas great to catch up with the Hume Region Scouts yesterday to celebrate their volunteer grant which will go towards a large tent and leadership training for their volunteers.

I especially enjoyed learning about the scouting concept of ‘bob-a-job’ from Daniel, where scouts would do domestic tasks in their village for a small amount of money.

For Daniel the name of the scout leader is “Bob-a-job” See MoreSee Less
