The “Top Secret Agoonoree” is on Friday 27 September to Monday 30 September at Bundilla Scout Camp, 6 Baden Powell Place, Winston Hills.
Cost: $130 youth participants; $100 leaders/helpers. (Fees for part attendance are available on request).
An Agoonoree is a camp especially for Scouts and Guides with special needs, organised by the Scouts Special Needs Team and supporters, and is open to ALL Scouts and Guides members in all sections.
Venturers and Rovers may wish to attend as helpers, and this is an ideal event for service.
Youth members aged 5-7 must attend with one of their parents or guardian
Youth members aged 8-14 must attend with at least one of their leaders who will take active responsibility.
Any adult helper, including parent, guardian or carer, who is not a Scout member and who is staying overnight will be required to complete an A2 Adult Helper form and have this processed prior to the event.
There will be a visitors’ day on Saturday 28 September and also an offsite activities day on Sunday 29 September based at the Australian Scout Museum at Newington Armory.
Either or both of these days can be attended as “stand alone” events (and this may be the preferred option for some younger members).
Activities will be revealed when the embargo on “Top Secret” information is lifted, but will suited to all ability levels and are likely to include a campfire, cooking, crafts, games and puzzles, movie, music, performance, scavenger hunt, wall climb and much more. There will also be a “Chill Out” youth zone and “Chatterbox” leader/helper base.
Camping is encouraged, but indoor accommodation is available if required or preferred.
Participants are also encouraged to dress up based on the “Top Secret” theme, especially on the visitor’s day.
The E1 Form for applications will be on-line at the Scout website from late June, or can be sent on request. The deadline for applications is Monday 9 September, and will be adhered to for those attending for one or more nights.
