Hume Region took delivery of 5 Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) on Saturday. The AEDs were obtained under the Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program run by the NSW Gov. Office of Sport and supplied by local First Aid company Rapid 1st Aid Training and Supplies

Part of the Grant conditions include a training session in the correct use and maintenance of AEDs which was attended by leaders from across Hume and run by Anne Rowe from Rapid 1st Aid. As usual, Anne delivered the instruction with plenty of background knowledge derived from being an active Paramedic

The AEDs will be at Hume Office, GSAC, Berrima, Warrabunda and 1st Canley Heights.

Special thanks go to Cassandra Armstrong at the Scouts NSW office for preparing the grant applications.

The Grants are available till April 2020 unless the funding allocation is exhausted prior to that date.

Keep an eye out wherever you are for the AED symbol and Be Prepared to assist when first aid is required.
