A favourite part of Berrima Scout Camp is the river access.
The western edge of the camp is the Wingecarribee River. The name of the river is derived from the Aboriginal Dharawal word “Winge Karrabee” meaning “a flight of birds” and “waters to rest beside”
Among the things you can do on a river, it is ideal for
- Canoeing (Hire our Canoes or BYO)
- Floating on
- Platypus spotting (at dawn)
- Sitting beside
